Christmas day, 2001. After my first few months of living in Banff, i returned to my parents' house in Calgary for Christmas dinner along with four new friends--a swiss guy, two dutch guys, and a guy from London Ontario. My mom had invited them since their families were all far away. After dinner we jammed on a riff i'd been working on. This is the live jam from that night, Adrian Zaugg on drums, Anne on bass, Coomb on tambourine, me on the 3-string, and Andrew Martens, totally freestyling the vocal. Made up on the spot. A year later i visited all these guys in Europe and it was the best time. One of my favorite spontaneous musical moments ever. I recycled the riff for "Young Summer", 13 years later.
