We recorded this live (minus vocals and synth) in Ryan Sadler's basement studio, early spring 2009. Right before Ryan hit 'record' i remember saying "Let's do this and never play this song again!" ....we'd been doing it live for a long time and the original ancient demo was from '97 or '98. Pine Tarts at that time was Mike "The Nuder" Bressanutti on drums, Jester Suzuki on bass, and Jesse Tart on vocals and 3-string. Jesse did most of the synth stuff except the outro riff, which Ryan played. Our friend Caitlyn Spencer did the back-up vocals at the very end. This came out on our blue vinyl 10-inch, which you were more likely to have seen get smashed over one of our heads at a show, than have heard. This is a song about nostalgia.

The day was hot, oh yeah, but the night was cool. Kind reflection, please do not depart. Don't tell me i've forgotten, how i once loved her heart. Twilight blue, like a long lost lover encountered suddenly, so you just lower your eyes, pretend you did not see. She didn't stop me, or call out, "Jesse!". And i never called out her name, for the love of a memory. Twilight blue i'm in love with you, colour my memory.
